Benefits of NAAM

NAAM firms raise industry standards.

An Open Community

Members openly sharing ideas is the foundation of NAAM.

An atmosphere of openness is possible because membership is based upon invitation and unanimous acceptance. This selection process ensures the membership represents all regions of the United States.

By restricting memberships to firms with significant accomplishments, members benefit by discussing the challenges confronting their firms and receiving input and suggestions from other NAAM members.

The informal climate at each meeting allows members to learn from one another and build a network of associates with whom they can consult as new challenges arise during the year. The NAAM pledge is actually a fraternity.

Informative

Careful attention is given to developing useful programs.

Timely topics are chosen and recognized authorities are retained to stimulate discussion during conventions. Each agenda is designed to incorporate professional and business issues — all with a practical vantage point.

Although roundtable discussions comprise a major part of every convention, the sessions are programmed to efficiently utilize each members' time. Resource material is provided as framework for dialogue and members are asked to consider certain questions prior to meeting.

This gives members time to reflect on the topic and how it relates directly to their firm or their community allowing for more productive discussions and meetings.

Family Focused

Like many funeral homes, NAAM is family oriented.

Funeral service is often a family endeavor with families serving other families. That's why the convention programs and planned social events are designed to appeal to the entire family.

NAAM has seen several past presidents followed in subsequent years by their sons and daughters in leadership roles. This kind of participation helps all family members receive the full benefits of NAAM and ensures the association will continue to grow under new progressive leadership.
